AvaTrade Code 128979: What Actually Happens When You Use It
People message me about partner codes all the time. Usually the same question: do they give you free trades or discounted spreads?
No. AvaTrade charges zero commission on forex. You pay the spread. The spread is the fee. A partner code doesn't touch it.
What 128979 does is unlock the welcome bonus. Bonus money added to your account based on deposit size. Nothing more complicated than that.
How much bonus do you receive?
Put in $1,000, receive $200 bonus.
$2,000 adds $400.
Deposits between $5,000 and $9,999 get $1,000.
Top tier is $14,000 on deposits over $100,000. Most people won't hit that.
UK traders funding in pounds start at £160 on £800. Top tier reaches £11,200.
Account minimum is $100. Bonus requires $1,000 minimum.
The field is hidden
During registration. Once you've filled in your phone number, look for small text that says "Have a Partner Code?" with an arrow next to it. Click the arrow. The field expands. Type **128979**.
People overlook it constantly because it's hidden.
If you see an error, it's fine. Finish signing up. Contact support before funding. Request partner code 128979 be added. They handle this regularly.
Bonus withdrawal conditions
There's a volume requirement.
Around 10,000 units per dollar of bonus. A $200 bonus means trading 2,000,000 units before that $200 unlocks. Takes a while if you trade small. Happens faster than you'd think if you're active.
Your deposit is yours. Take it out anytime. Only the bonus has the restriction.
Worth mentioning: the bonus adds to your available margin even when locked. You can hold larger positions than your deposit alone would allow. Newer traders benefit from that extra cushion.
